A math puzzle consists of a 4×4 grid with 16 target numbers. Below the grid, you'll find a number strip with 16 numbers arranged in ascending order. Your goal is to fill each cell with two numbers from the strip and an operator (subtraction or multiplication) that produces the target value.

Every pair of numbers from the strip must appear exactly twice in the grid: once as a difference (larger minus smaller) and once as a product. For example, if your strip has 4 and 6, you'll need to find both 2 (6-4) and 24 (4×6) in the grid.

Start by selecting Easy mode, which has smaller numbers (2-20) and only 5 hidden values. First, scan the grid for large product numbers—they're easier to identify because they have fewer factor pairs. Then mark numbers as you use them by clicking on the number strip. Work systematically through the grid, and when you're ready, click 'Check Solution' to verify your answers.

Always start with large products like 48, 42, or 36—they're unique and easier to match. Don't forget that subtraction always uses the larger number minus the smaller.
